I'm excited to tell you that at the end of last year, I joined the fantastic team of NannyML an early-stage startup developing an open-source library to do post-deployment data science.

I’ll be working as a Data Science Writer Intern. This means I’ll get the chance to study thought concepts, break them down into digestible pieces of content, interact with the community, and help to spread the word about why monitoring your machine-learning models is essential!

It’s the story about how in 2021 Zillow lost millions of dollars because of a failure in one of their Machine Learning models. 💸 Some people speculate it was because of a lack of proper ML model monitoring 🔥

In the blog post, I speak about how to:

Estimate post-deployment model performance (without labeled data)
Detect univariate and multivariate data drift
Do a root cause analysis to find which features are causing a performance drop
